Sushant K. Singh is a Research Scholar in the Department of Environment and Water Management, A. N. College, Patna (India). He is a recipient of Highly Competitive National level Fellowship – “Jawaharlal Nehru Fellowship” for his Doctoral studies on the topic “Study of Arsenic contamination in food–chain-Transfer of Arsenic into food  materials through ground water irrigation in Maner block of Patna District". He has completed M.S in Environmental Sciences with distinction, and B.S. in Botany (Topped in the university). Since 2003 he is teaching undergraduate and post graduate students of the ‘Department of Environment and Water Management’ and students of ‘Master of Computer Application’. He has also worked with UNICEF on ‘Project Arsenic’ as ‘Project Group Leader’ and on ‘School Sanitation and Hygiene Education Program’ as a Coordinator. He has shared his expertise of statistical analysis while preparing the report to JICA as an ‘Assistant Pollution Control Expert’ for a highly ambitious 700 million DFC project. Recently visited China (14th to 28th August’2009) to represent India in ‘Asian Forum for Cross-Cultural Dialogue, and presented a paper on ‘Eco-Literature’. He has also participated in ‘GTZ Summer School on Sustainable Innovation in India’ and designated as Ambassador-Water Resource Management’, He has also been involved in Art and Cultural activities as, he has written, acted and directed multiple plays on environmental issues. Recently his calligraphy was selected for First prize in China. He has a deep interest in teaching and research, especially in the area of Water Resources Management, Eco-toxicology, Bioremediation and Sustainable-development.
