About
Dr. Nupur Bose, Associate Professor, is heading the post graduate center of the Department of Geography, A.N.College, Patna. She completed her Ph.D on an interdisciplinary topic on Population Studies from the Department of Economics, Patna University, as a University Grants Commission Junior Research Fellow. With 24 years of teaching and research, Dr. Bose is currently involved in research on Water issues and Climate Change vis a vis population in developing economies. Dr. Bose is a Coordinator in the interdisciplinary Department of Environment and Water Management, A.N.College. As a part of the Water Research Team in the Department of EWM, she has worked as a Co-Investigator in UNICEF sponsored project on Ground Water Arsenic Contamination. Dr. Bose Is Principal Investigator in a current UGC-sponsored Research project on Arsenic Contamination in the food chain in the fluvial plains of Bihar. She is also associated UN's Solution Exchange Communities on Water, Disaster Management and Climate Change.Dr. Bose undertakes spatial analyses and mapping of field and lab. generated results of water quality and water quantity problems of the Mid Ganga Plains to give shape to research papers published, and also presented in Australia {ISCO, 2004], UK RGS-IBS Annual Meeting 2007], Spain [As 2008], and USA. [AAG Annual Meeting 2009] Dr. Bose has been named as one of the Collaborators in Environment Conservation issues by the Department of Geography, University of Cambridge, UK. under the Cambridge-India Partnership Program. She has also been recently selected as recipient of the Erasmus Mundus ECW Academic mobility award, and has visited TU Delft to further her research collaborations on Water issues, with special stress on social integration of technology.
